I know, I get it, it can be an emotional rollercoaster!
Start a business they said, or maybe you started a sales career thinking it'd be easy because you've seen others do it and it looked, well, easy!
And then the rejection sets in and you've got to plan everything otherwise you end accomplishing nothing. Its so easy to lose a few hours trying to work out what's your most important task right now!
Or maybe you've been in business for a long time and the 'shine' has worn off and you're wondering how you're going to keep doing what you know id required to keep the doors open and bills paid.
It was once said to me that the way to scare off most of the population is to ask them what their 'Why' is! I hope you're not in that group because I'm going to ask........what is it? How clear is it?
That over-arching reason for you doing everything is the one thing that has the most affect on you maintaining the drive and passion needed to show up day in and day out and provide the service that knocks peoples socks off so they tell others about you.
I love Mountain Biking and in the past few years there has been a change to larger wheels throughout the industry. These larger wheels are winning races because due to centrifugal force they are faster than the smaller wheels.
The added advantage is that the larger the wheel the smaller the rocks that may be in your way, relatively speaking.
The same with your WHY and the inevitable roadblocks in business or your sales career. If you are super clear on where you want to go, who you want to be and why you're doing it all that will pull you through the hard times.
So take some time to come up with your WHY and keep it somewhere you see regularly and visualise the accomplishment of it and you'll constantly show up and a passionate and enthusiastic high performer that rolls through the hard times!
